Chopstick Sculptures
2012
Students were asked to create a 3-dimensional object from a single pair of wooden chopsticks.
The objectives of this project were the following
• To gain experience with the additive building process.
• To consider the importance of transitional points with regards to structural integrity.
• To emphasize and expand problem-solving skills using a relatively forgiving medium.
• To examine the qualities, limitations, and advantages of materials.
